Forest School

Year 1 have had a fantastic opportunity to take part in Forest School, thanks to the Wildlife Trust. We currently have these sessions every Wednesday.

Please make sure you bring wellies, a waterproof coat, a long sleeved top, long trousers, a hat, gloves and spare socks to every session. We get very muddy when we are exploring! Depending upon the weather conditions, your child may not be able to take part if they do not have the appropriate clothing.

We have had lots of fun digging, finding different mini-beasts, building dens and roasting marshmallows on a fire. Have a look at the pictures below to see what we have been up to.

1S thoroughly enjoyed their last day of Forest School! Look at us roasting marshmallows on the fire! We squashed our gooey marshmallow between two biscuits and created a smore.

We have learnt how to use tools! We used a hand drill carefully to make a hole in our tree cookie. Then we decorated them with crayons and lots of glitter! They looked beautiful on our class Christmas tree.

We had a busy morning building a den out of sticks and blankets. After that, we had a rest and drank hot vimto and ate our favourite biscuits!
