Our Futures Day 2022

 

The children have had the chance today to participate in lots of different workshops from a Man City scout to a skin specialist. During the day we are aiming to raise the aspirations of the children and give them a clear message that they can be whatever they want to be, if they put their mind to it. 

We have thought about our skills, interests and hobbies to see if there is something we can harness and develop into a career. We also gave the children a change to use an online job database called JED, where the children answer 18 questions multiple-choice questions and are then given ideas of potential jobs that suit their interests and skills. 

 

At the end of the day we are asking the children one question; what decisions can you start to make now that will influence your future? This could be practising a skill, joining a club, researching something that interests you etc..
