Welcome to Year 5/6!
We hope that you find all the information you need about life in Year 5/6 on this page. We will be posting updates about our exciting learning opportunities throughout the year.
On the 30th and 31st October, we visited Manchester Art Gallery. We explored the galleries, making sketches of our favourite pieces and comparing the different styles of art. We loved that there were so many types of artwork and now we can’t wait to start creating our own.
On the first day after half term, we spent the morning creating different types of art to kick start our new project. We made our own marbled paper, created our own colour wheels, observed what happens when different colours mix, thought about how different colours make us feel and made our own graffiti art on the laptops.
When we visited Abbey House Museum in Leeds, we became detectives in a Victorian murder investigation and had fun exploring a Victorian street. It was great fun and helped us learn more about life during the Victorian era.
