Home Learning In Year 5

  • Reading - Every child has a school reading book which they can change daily if they wish to.

       We encourage children to read every night to promote a love of reading heart

 

  • Spellings - A spelling pattern it taught on a Monday in class. We have sessions to practice in school and tested on a Friday. We will share the spelling rule on our Class Dojo page. 

 

  • Maths - Children are expected to practice and know multiplication tables up to 12x12. In order to help rapid recall and fluency.

 

  • Learning Log - Given out every Friday - due in the following Friday 

Every child has their own Learning Log & resources. Each week, your teacher will set you a curriculum homework challenge! You can use your imagination and get creative in presenting your piece of work. Homework can be completed digitally and sent to the teacher on Class Dojo. 

All children have log in details for Bug Club and TTRS. Please let your class teacher know if you need them resetting.
